St. Aidan’s Community College was founded in 1983. Its founding principle was to develop opportunities for students to realise their individual potential and this remains our goal today. We aim to be a school where all of our students are cherished equally and assisted in their efforts to achieve their academic and personal goals.
Our school motto ‘Let your light shine’ encourages all our students to find what they are good at and let it flourish – whether in the science lab, through IT, on the sports field, in the classroom, with their friends and with their teachers. We aim to develop all aspects of the student – their physical, intellectual, moral and emotional well-being.
St Aidan’s offers a wide range of subjects to Higher Level Leaving Certificate. Core subjects include Irish, English, Maths, Religion, Career Guidance, PE, Computers and SPHE. Optional subjects include History, Geography, French, Accounting, Business Studies, Economics, Music, Art Craftwork, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Home Economics, Construction Studies, Design Communication Graphics and Engineering.
