The Teaching Council has now informed Cork ETB that the registration conditions extension date has been pushed back to 31 January 2016 for practical administrative reasons.  These letters indicate that if all conditions were not met within the specified timeframe, and no extension has been granted, then the teacher’s registration will lapse and the paymaster will be prohibited by law from paying any person who is employed as a teacher in a recognised school unless he/she is registered with the Teaching Council.
