Cork ETB opens second Community National School

Scoil Chlíodhna Community National School in Carrigtwohill welcomes it’s first Junior Infants.

In response to an increase in demand and higher pupil numbers, a new multi-denominational Community National School opened in Carrigtwohill on Tuesday 1st September. The first class of junior infants were welcomed through the door of Scoil Chlíodhna Community National School by Chief Executive of Cork Education and Training Board (Cork ETB), Mr. Ted Owens.

Cork ETB Chief Executive, Ted Owens commented: “I am delighted to welcome the first class of junior infants to Scoil Chlíodhna Community National School. A Community National School is founded in its local community and offers an education model that is child-centred and inclusive, providing for children of all religious faiths.”
